Whether you're sick of office clutter or you need to feel secure about the threat of identity theft, paper shredding is a necessary part of any business. However, not all paper shredders are ideal for every professional setting. Here are a few things to consider when browsing for a quality paper shredder.
In decades past, strip paper shredders were the norm in many offices. These days you can still find them for incredibly affordable prices. However, the reason they're rapidly becoming obsolete is that they only cut the paper into thin vertical strips, which makes it all too easy for someone to reassemble the page. However, if you simply want something for paper shredding that doesn't contain any crucial information on it, it may be the right one for you.
If you're running an office, however, it's likely that you'll have contracts, memos, emails, records, and worksheets with sensitive information on it. In this case, you'll need paper shredding technology that's a bit more thorough in its disposal. For this situation, investing in a confetti shredder or a crosscut shredder is a better choice. These shredders render the page into smaller pieces, making it next to impossible to piece back together.
If you have to regularly dispose of medical records, wills, voided checks, and other crucial pieces of information, you may want to invest in a micro paper shredder. These devices take paper shredding to a whole new level, transforming each paper into a pile of tiny particles. This eliminates absolutely every risk of identity theft or leaked secrets.
Of course, the only problem with these sort of paper shredding devices is that they're somewhat delicate. Anyone who has accidentally shredded a page with a staple stuck in the corner can attest that their insides are a bit sensitive when it comes to what you put inside of it. However, industrial shredders are unique in that they can chew through paper clips, staples, cardboard, CDs, and several layers of paper all in one go.
These are only a few paper shredding devices to consider. Regardless of what you choose, you will be able to enhance your office with an appliance that's perfect for clearing up desk space, clearing out storage rooms, and safely and efficiently taking care of top secret documents. Learn more today about how paper shredding devices can be used to your advantage. You'll be surprised at just how much they can accomplish.

It can really be a pain when you forget to remove staples when shredding stuff. Best case is that it gets stuck and you can just take it out; the worse case being the shredder is ruined and now you’ll have to replace it. I could only imagine that happening to a micro shredder. :o
